Every individual is unique, not just physically but in their personality as well. Therefore, every individual has different sleeping habits, particularly a different sleeping position that helps them drift off into lala-land.
The position in which you sleep can influence your physiology including blood pressure and sinus health.

1. Heartburn – Drifting off into sleep can be quite a challenge, especially if you’re suffering from heartburn in the meanwhile. Sleep in the wrong position and you can risk having acid slipping into your esophagus, which will interrupt your digestion and induce insomnia.

If you’re a victim to incline, sleep on an incline. This position will help keep down the contents of your stomach. Furthermore, it is preferred to sleep on your left side, as the right side will further invoke the heartburn.
2. Neck pain. Sometimes your neck pain can be due to daily activities, but other times, it can be due to your sleeping position. Pillows that conform to the shape of your neck can minimize the pain, but sleep position has a greater role.
For those who have neck pain, sleep on your side or flat on your back. If you still have neck pain, try rolling up a towel and placing it under your neck for support.

3. Back pain. Sometimes back pain gets the best of us, and when it does, falling asleep can be quite a challenge.
The best way to get rid of back pain is to relieve your spine. If you sleep on your back, this is best done by placing a pillow under your knees. If you sleep on your stomach,this is best done by placing a pillow below your lower abdomen. If you sleep on your side, place the pillow between your knees.

4. Shoulder pain. Pain in the shoulders can be a real problem for sleeping, especially if you sleep on your side.
The best way to alleviate the pain is to hug a pillow, while sleeping on the side that is not injured. You can also sleep on your back or place a pillow under the pained shoulder.

10. Hip Pain. Those of you have had hip pain know the struggle of trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. The most important thing is to reduce any pressure or stress on your hips and back. The best way to do so is my sleeping face down.
