Most of us enjoy that time of the day where we get to crawl into bed, unwind, relax and fall into a deep slumber. Some of us aren’t lucky enough to have a dreamy sleep. The nightmares, in addition to the tossing and turning, make sleeping a period of turmoil rather than a time of relaxation.

Then there are some of us who do some really peculiar things while asleep. With sleep-walking, sleep-talking and even sleep-driving, these are the people that take sleeping to a whole other level.

Check out these 9 very weird things that people have done in their sleep.

1. Homicidal somnambulism, otherwise known as sleepwalking murder, is actually a thing. Yes, people actually kill other people in their sleep. 

3. Lee Hadwin is one special fella. Better known as The Sleepwalking Artist, Lee began painting and drawing in his sleep when he was only four or five years old. 

What’s the weirdest part of his talent? He doesn’t have any recollection of what he paints when he’s sleeping and has no means of replicating the art when he is awake. 

People who have this disorder do not have any recollective memory of what they ate and what it tasted like. They are completely unaware of that they have an eating habit when they are asleep.

4. In 2005, at approximately two o’ clock in the morning, a little girl was found sleeping at the top of a 130 foot crane. A rescue team was immediately called to rescue her from her dangerous slumber.

The girl had actually sleepwalked her way up there and climbed the entire crane in her sleep. 

5. Here’s one that we don’t hear of often. Apparently, getting frisky with strangers while sleeping is actually a possibility. 

The term for this condition is sexsomnia. Sexsomniacs are those individuals who perform such sexual activities, yet do not have any memory of their performance when actually awake. 

6. Some people walk, others talk, and others eat… then there are those who cook in their sleep. 

There are stories of people boiling water, working the stove, microwaving food and doing all sorts of food related things when they are asleep. Just as any other sleeping disorder, they have no recollection of their actions when they wake up. 

7. In 2007, a teenager jumped out of a four story window in Germany. 

This wasn’t a case of attempted suicide. The boy was actually asleep when he performed the act, and was lucky enough to survive with only a broken arm and leg. 

8. Dion McGregor, a famous American songwriter, was a sleep talker who actually narrated his own dreams and sometimes more traumatic nightmares.

He went off in his sleep so much that he recorded his sleepy conversations and made an able called The Dream World of Dion McGregor in 1964. 

9. This one’s a little scary… there are people who actually drive in their sleep.
