Ruth Bertels is a graduate of Clarke College
in Dubuque, Iowa, and has taught on the elementary and secondary
levels, primarily in the Catholic school systems.
From 1984 to 1999, she wrote a weekly column
for the Superior Catholic Herald, and won national journalism awards
from the Catholic Press Association: in 1988, for third place, in
1993, for first place, and in 1994 for second place for best regular
column.
Her favorite quote of St. Francis of Assissi
is the message he would shout to the people as he went up and down
the streets of town: "Good morning, good people." Ruth views this
new venture onto the Internet as an opportunity to meet God's people
on their journeys, and to greet them, as did Francis, in God's name.
She hopes and prays that this site will offer
inspiration, entertainment, challenges, hope and a touch of companionship
to all who drop by. Welcome!
